SURESH C. CHUGH FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT Mr. Suresh C. Chugh - Mr. Chugh has 28 years of global finance and investment banking experience and 15 years of experience in petroleum industry. Mr. Chugh is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer and President of IFM Resources, Inc., an investment-banking boutique registered in New Jersey in 1996. At IFM, Mr. Chugh has advised several global financial and industrial institutions in the areas of Financial Advisory, Corporate Finance and Mergers and Acquisitions. Most of the IFM’s assignments have been in the Former Soviet Union (Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan ). Mr. Chugh served as an advisor to Smith Barney, AIG, Russian American Investment Bank, Forex Bank and AIG Private Bank. Prior to IFM, Mr. Chugh was the President and Chief Executive Officer of the AIG Silk Road Fund, an equity investment fund and served on the Investment Committees of AIG Millennium Fund and Silk Road Fund. Prior to that, Mr. Chugh spent 19 years at J. P. Morgan bank in many areas such as the Head of Global Project Finance, Natural Resources and Special Projects Group, Head of the Management Development and Training group, as a member of the Credit Policy Committee, and finally prior to retirement from J. P, Morgan in 1996 as Managing Director responsible for developing investment banking business in the Former Soviet Union. During the tenure with JP Morgan, Mr. Chugh arranged billions of dollars financing for companies in Norway, Denmark, U. K. Sweden, Canada, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, USA, Africa, FSU and Latin America. Prior to Joining J. P. Morgan in 1977, Mr. Chugh worked in various Engineering and Managerial capacities with Texaco in the Permian Basin in USA and with Oil and Natural Gas Commission in India. Mr. Chugh served on the board of the several small to medium size companies. He also taught corporate finance courses to many bankers and economists from FSU and delivered many speeches in conferences and universities. Mr. Chugh graduated with a Masters Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and has a Bachelor Degree with Honors in Petroleum Engineering from the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, India. |
